Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of ALOS websites, accounts, dashboards, protection services, DNS or domain-related features, enterprise services, and paid platform tools. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

These terms are drafted with Australian law in mind, unless another mandatory law applies to a specific customer relationship.
Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly. Prices may be displayed in AUD and sometimes shown secondarily in USD, but charges are made in AUD.
Service standard
ALOS targets a 99% service availability standard, subject to maintenance, dependencies, abuse events, and matters outside our reasonable control.

Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using ALOS websites, account areas, dashboards, APIs, or paid services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

  • You must provide accurate information when creating or maintaining an account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
  • You may not use the service if doing so would breach applicable laws or regulations.
  • These terms are written for direct users of the service and do not specifically state that signing up binds a separate business entity.

Services and Availability

ALOS provides infrastructure, protection, operational, and account-based services. The exact features available to you may depend on the plan, technical setup, configuration, or commercial arrangement in place at the time.

What we may provide

  • DDoS protection, CDN or edge delivery, WAF or bot protection, DNS or domain-related features, dashboard tooling, and custom enterprise services.
  • Administrative interfaces, customer dashboards, support workflows, and service configuration controls.
  • Operational changes, upgrades, or maintenance required to keep the platform functioning.

What we do not guarantee

  • That every feature will be available at all times or in every plan tier.
  • That every threat, incident, or outage can be prevented entirely.
  • That service availability will be uninterrupted, delay-free, or error-free at all times.

Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity that occurs under your account, unless the activity was caused by our own unauthorised conduct or a security failure we were solely responsible for.

  • Keep login credentials secure and do not share them with unauthorised users.
  • Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
  • Ensure contact, billing, and administrative details remain current.
  • You are responsible for the people you authorise to use your account or workspace.

Acceptable Use

You must not use ALOS to engage in unlawful conduct, abuse systems, interfere with networks, or expose the platform or other users to avoidable risk.

Prohibited conduct

  • Using the service for illegal activity, illegal items or services, fraud, unauthorised intrusion, or distribution of malicious code.
  • Attempting to bypass, probe, or undermine service controls, availability, or security protections.
  • Uploading or transmitting content you do not have the right to use.
  • Using the platform in a way that materially harms our systems, reputation, or other customers.

Your responsibility

  • You are responsible for the lawfulness of traffic, content, domains, endpoints, and configurations you place behind or into the service.
  • You must cooperate with reasonable abuse, security, or verification requests where needed to protect the platform.
We can investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate action, including rate limiting, temporary restrictions, suspension, or termination where justified.

Billing and Payments

Paid services are generally offered on a monthly subscription basis unless ALOS expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

  • Charges are made in AUD, even where a secondary display price in USD or another currency may appear for convenience.
  • Monthly plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the next renewal date.
  • Where payment processing is used, Stripe may handle payment-related processing under its own terms and privacy practices.
  • Refunds are only considered for legitimate reasons, and ALOS has the final say on whether a refund request is accepted, subject to any rights that cannot be excluded by law.
  • You remain responsible for applicable taxes, chargebacks, unpaid balances, and collection costs where legally permitted.

Service Availability

ALOS targets a 99% service availability standard for core services. This is a target rather than a guarantee of uninterrupted service in every circumstance.

  • Availability measurements may exclude scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, upstream failures, force majeure events, abuse scenarios, and customer-caused issues.
  • Service conditions, mitigation outcomes, and response times can vary depending on plan level, infrastructure dependencies, and the nature of the event being handled.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the platform, enforce these terms, respond to legal obligations, or address persistent non-payment or misuse.

  • We may suspend services immediately for urgent security, abuse, illegal use, false account information, chargebacks, legal demands, or excessive resource abuse.
  • We may terminate or limit access for material breaches of these terms.
  • For non-urgent business reasons, we try to give 7 days notice where practical.
  • You may stop using the service at any time, but charges already incurred remain payable unless the law says otherwise.
  • After termination, access ends and customer data may be deleted, subject to any retention we are legally required to maintain.

Disclaimers and Liability Limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, perfect protection outcomes, or suitability for every particular use case.

  • We exclude implied warranties except where they cannot be excluded by law.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including loss of profit, revenue, data, or business opportunity.
  • Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law and, where lawful, capped at the total fees paid by you for the affected service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian consumer or other mandatory laws.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia unless another mandatory law applies. You agree to try to resolve disputes with us first by contacting support, so both parties have an opportunity to address the issue before formal proceedings are started.

  • Informal resolution should be attempted first by contacting support@alos.gg.
  • Where formal proceedings are required, Australian courts may have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory local consumer protections.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, pricing changes, operational realities, or risk controls. Updated terms become effective when posted, unless a later effective date is stated.

  • Material updates may also be communicated through account notices, invoices, email, or dashboard messaging.
  • Your continued use of the service after updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
